Poros - Skala

Start your trip in southern Kefalonia with a visit to the Mycenaean vaulted tomb located just outside the village, in Janata. Heading to Poros make a small deviation in order to see the oldest monastery of the island, the monastery of Theotokos Atros. The landscape of the monastery is truly amazing. Exit back to the main road where crossing the beautiful gorge of the island will take you to Poros. You can stop there for a while before continuing on the coastal road to reach the Skala resort on the beach and its beautiful water. In the village of Skala, do not miss the ruins of Roman villa with wonderful mosaic floors.

Afternoon: You can choose one of the restaurants in Skala for your meal or head to the seaside village of Kato Katelios to taste fresh fish or spaghetti with lobster. For wine lovers there is an estate with an elegant winery, near the village Mavrata, which can be visited.
